Location: Situated in the North West area of Crete, on the edge of a tranquil village between the villages of Voukolies and Tavronitis. Both Tavronitis with its beaches and Voukolies, with its schools and mini market, are all year round working villages and are accessible within a few minutes' drive. Famous beaches such as that in Elafonissi or in Falaserna are also easily accessible. The city of Chania is less than 30 minutes away by car. Access to the specific property is offered by a tarmac road.

Views: The plot itself surrounds the house with its variety of trees offering a feeling of natural tranquility and balance within the surrounding environment. From the roof terrace one can enjoy a 360 degrees of uninterrupted sea and mountain views.  Either sea or mountain views are enjoyed from most terraces and rooms within the property.

Architecture: The property was probably constructed more than a century ago but was fully renovated in 1994 and 1995 when an extension was completed. Most of its walls are made from solid stone and are more than 50 cm thick offering excellent insulation. The owner has chosen to apply white rendering on all walls, externally and internally, as it was traditional in old Cretan villages in order to maintain a feeling of space and light within the house.  

Internal layout:  Entering the main house you find yourself in the large kitchen and dining area decorated with arches. A single bedroom with a shower room is available in this level. A few steps take you to the large living area with windows towards the sea view and 2 more bedrooms. Moving outside the house you meet a number of levels with tiled terraces as well as the staircase offering access to the roof terrace. In the basement, which is really ground floor from its access point, there is a spacious storage and cellar space. A large part of it has been transformed in order to be used as a charming open dining area, reminding a traditional tavern. The second building has even more original features maintained such as wooden internal walls, floorings and staircase. In the 2nd floor of this building two spacious bedrooms are found.

Features: Many of the original wooden or iron doors have been maintained adding to the character of the property. It is fully furnished with some of the furniture being built in such as beds and kitchen cup boards, providing hidden storage space underneath. All existing furniture and electrical appliances are included in the price. All tiles are A' quality, while the property has been recently painted internally and externally.
